Diagnostic call-out is $110 weekday, $180 evenings and weekends. It comes off the repair if you go ahead the same visit.

Furnace tune-up
$149. Worth it once a year on a gas furnace, honestly not worth it twice — anyone selling you a spring and an autumn service on the same unit is selling, not servicing.
Igniter or flame sensor
$210–$330 fitted. These are the two most common no-heat calls in January and both are an hour's work.
Blower motor
$480–$900. If the unit is over fifteen years old we will show you the replacement maths before you spend it.
AC recharge & leak find
$260–$540. A system that needs gas every summer has a leak; topping it up annually is money into the sky and we will say so.
New furnace, supplied & fitted
$4,200–$7,400 depending on size and efficiency. Permit and old-unit removal included.
New AC or heat pump
$4,800–$9,600. Heat pumps make sense in a well-insulated house and less sense in a draughty one — we will tell you which yours is.

A repair beats a replacement

A twelve-year-old furnace with a dead igniter is a $260 fix, not a $6,000 decision. We will not use a cold house as leverage.

The filter was the problem

It happens more than any of us admit. If we drive out and it is a blocked filter, you pay the call-out and nothing else, and we will show you how to change it.

A heat pump is wrong for you

They are excellent in the right house. In a 1950s bungalow with original windows they disappoint, and we would rather lose the sale than fit one.
